A beautiful high quality heavy Japanese silk bodice from about 1895 in excellent condition. The garment is completely hand stitched with heavy boning and weights in the two angled pieces at the front. The only mild damage on this is some foxing on one of the sleeves and some tiny holes and bead loss on the lace. It has been professionally made by a dress maker Lethbridge and Garland, Plymouth and the finishing off work to the inside is very intricate.
